Sarah K. graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a business degree and began her career in investment banking in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After five years in the industry, Sarah K. felt as though the passion was missing from her work in finance and decided to make an exciting career change. She capitalized on her love of hospitality and entertaining, and enrolled in the nationally recognized culinary-arts program at Philadelphia’s Walnut Hill College.
Although Chef Sarah K. perfected her crab cake recipe in Ocean City, Maryland, she learned how to cook at her mother's apron strings growing up in a military family. Moving throughout the United States introduced Sarah K. to new cuisines, many of which are found in her shop.
Sarah K's Gourmet has won the prestigious "Best of the Emerald Coast" award every year since inception. Chef Sarah K. has been featured on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates across the country, CNN, the Weather Channel, nationally syndicated programs, national radio, the Northwest Daily News, Emerald Coast Magazine, the Destin Log, Destin Magazine, the Beachcomber, the Walton Sun, Condo Living Magazine, Coastal Angler, Woman's World Magazine, Taste of Home Magazine, EmeraldCoast.com, and Tripadvisor.com.
Sarah K. was named one of the "Top Ten Leaders on the Emerald Coast." Sarah K. has also judged numerous recipe competitions and most recently was a featured judge at the Seafood Showdown.
